Zierath cafe Hermanas in Wauwatosa approved by popular council

Immediately after months of prolonged deliberation and discussion from Wauwatosa council members, the Zieraths lastly have their cafe. 

The Wauwatosa Widespread Council voted Tuesday evening to approve options for Hermanas, an upscale Mexican cafe at 11320 W. Bluemound Road. Dan Zierath’s daughters, Gabbi and Betsi, will operate the cafe, which is adjacent to Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub, which Dan Zierath owns. Hermanas will occupy place formerly regarded as the Thirsty Duck.

The final approval follows a long string of votes on the cafe, some approving and some denying it.

The strategy fee permitted a proposal for the cafe on March 8, on a 6-1 vote.

Then, on March 16, the typical council rejected the programs, 13-3. 

On April 6, the council unanimously agreed to reconsider the strategies, thanks to a new modify in condition law that needs a council to state specific reasons as to why it denied a permit
